About the Opportunity

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Account Manager to own and expand relationships with our SaaS customer base. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid+ career professional who has built a strong track record in SaaS account management and is now ready to embark on the leadership journey of their career. As a key player in our account management team, you will not only lead negotiations, renewals, and strategic account planning to drive ARR expansion.

Scoop is in a dynamic scale-up phase, with the team, tools, and momentum in place to support the next stage of growth, and we’re looking for an Account Manager who thrives on both growth execution and leadership development.

Responsibilities

Account Growth & Revenue Expansion

  • Own and manage a portfolio of customer accounts with a focus on account health, customer retention & contract expansions.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Drive regular customer meetings, mitigating churn risks and ensuring seamless contract extensions.
  • Model and coach account expansion best practices, helping less-senior team members refine their approach.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build strong, multi-threaded relationships with key operational contacts, executive champions, IT, and financial decision makers.
  • Partner with CSMs to conduct business reviews and strategy sessions that highlight Scoop’s value at multiple organizational levels.
  • Communicate Scoop’s mission, vision, and roadmap in ways that resonate with customer executives and align with their strategic goals.

  • Lead renewal conversations, demonstrating ROI to secure long-term commitments.
  • Handle contract negotiations and pricing discussions to balance customer needs with Scoop’s revenue objectives.
  • Identify and proactively address churn risks before they arise.
  • Share negotiation strategies and renewal approaches with the broader team.

Data-Driven Customer Strategy

  • Leverage customer health analytics, usage data, and business intelligence to identify expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate across Customer Success, Product, and Sales to align customer needs with Scoop’s capabilities.
  • Contribute to the optimization of customer engagement processes and playbooks.
  • Help shape scalable account management practices that position Scoop for continued growth.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Have

  • 5+ years in SaaS Account Management, Sales, Business Development, or Customer Success, with a focus on revenue expansion and renewals.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow B2B SaaS customer accounts, ideally within CRM, ERP, or Project Management platforms.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including leading business reviews, demos, and renewal discussions.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Experience mentoring peers, leading small initiatives, or contributing to team development is a strong plus.

    • Experience with marketing automation tools to enhance customer engagement.
    • Ability to record quick demo or explainer videos for customer education.
    • Background in solar, renewable energy, or field services.
